Science of

Reading Academy

Monterey County Office of Education conducts professional development for teachers called the “Science of Reading Academy.”  This is free to attend, and teachers leave with a kit of tools to use in back in the classroom.

Monterey County Office of Education also has Science of Reading-Aligned curriculum for districts to review. Several districts have added Science of Reading-aligned supplements, or have changed out their K-2 curriculum completely, and are seeing remarkable results.
